Venue Hire

Our Library Bar is available to hire for private events: birthday celebrations, work functions, book launches, photo & film shoots.

Some events may not be appropriate for our space, please read the information below to see if we are able to accommodate.

- Minimum Spend:
  We require a minimum spend on the day for private events (see info pack for details).
  Total amount can be spent on both food & beverages.
  For Photo/Film shoots please email us for our hire rates as they differ from catered events.
- Venue Capacity:
  50 patrons max. combined inside & outside (liquor license restrictions).
  Outdoor area has a maximum capacity of 12 patrons. If the area becomes overcrowded we will move people inside the venue.
  Outdoor area closes at 11pm.
  No Smoking or Vaping is permitted at outdoor tables - penalties apply.
- Hire Fee:
  A $100 Hire Fee is required to secure the booking for the available date.
  Once a date and time has been confirmed by us we will email through an invoice. Payment is required within 7 days.
  Hire Fee is only refundable if event is cancelled up to 14 days before the event date.
- Availability:

  - Friday evenings are unavailable due to busy regular trade - Saturday evenings are available.

During events we only offer a limited drinks menu to ensure a quick service.
Drinks/Cocktails from our regular menu will not be available.
We have chosen a selection of the best drinks we serve - see Sample Drinks Menu below
We have a really really small kitchen, therefore we are only able to make cheese & charcuterie boards to share.
You are welcome to bring in other food (pizza/sushi etc.) however we do not have equipment to heat any food.

Liquor License:
- People under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian as we are a licensed venue.
Music:
- Yes, you can have your own spotify plalylist playing in the background if you have prepared one.
- We’re unable to have live performances as we do not have a liquor license that supports amplified live music.
- We are a bookstore not a nightclub, we cannot accommodate a dancefloor - please be respectful to our neighbours and keep noise to a respectful level.
